Chargers Are Primed to Shock the Packers

The Chargers are one of those teams that’s good enough to beat anybody but flawed enough to lose to anybody. While that quality can be infuriating at times, such as last week against the Michael Vick-led Steelers, it will be downright endearing this week in Green Bay. San Diego’s players get up for games like this — Philip Rivers in particular — and I fully expect this to be another tight game late into the fourth quarter.

The Chargers are 1-9 all-time against the Packers, who are currently undefeated. Philip Rivers always gives the Bolts a chance, but the Chargers need game-changing performances from some of their young players. Can Jason Verrett continue his great play covering Randall Cobb? And will Jeremiah Attaochu finally have a breakout game against struggling left tackle David Bakhtiari?
